Hey there! I'm Dave, the founder and CEO. My journey began with a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Wright State University, but the roots of my values and work ethic stretch back to a humble farming community in Ohio. Growing up in that environment, alongside my family's principles, instilled in me the virtues of hard work, the importance of family, the thrill of success, and the lessons of humility in both victory and defeat.

My career kicked off with a software developer role at Crown Equipment in a nearby town. During my time there, I immersed myself in software technology and gained invaluable insights into dealer networks and operations. It was at Crown where I forged lasting relationships with independent dealers, connections that remain dear to me today.

In 2014, I launched Tinnacity as a consultancy, aiming to empower independent service dealerships with software solutions to streamline their operations. Three years later, fueled by a vision for innovation, we transitioned into a SaaS company, offering a cutting-edge mobile service app to material handling and industrial equipment service providers. A decade on, our journey has been one of unwavering progress, fueled by the success stories of our cherished customers.

On a personal note, my wife and I raised our two children, Kyle and Kate, in Dublin, OH, before embracing the "empty nest" phase in downtown Columbus. We're relishing the vibrant culture of city life, indulging in culinary delights, soaking in the atmosphere of Ohio State sporting events, and cherishing moments with loved ones. Beyond the office, you'll find me on the golf course, basking in the Caribbean sun with my wife, and supporting our children in their endeavors.

Fun facts about me? I umpired high school baseball for a decade, coached a high school basketball team to a state championship (with less than 100 students!), and served as a volunteer firefighter for 15 years.

My ethos is simple: family first. At Tinnacity, our team, our customers, and their families are all part of our extended family. I believe in doing right by others, in karma, in staying grounded, and in fostering a culture of honesty and transparency.

I never imagined myself as an entrepreneur, but looking back, I wouldn't change a thing!

Hello, my name is Brad Cotterman. I'm the Director of Operations at Tinnacity. Before joining Tinnacity I worked at Crown Equipment, where I helped lead new product development efforts for connected products.

Before working at Crown, I was a software engineer at the Hartzell Industries.

I live in Sidney, Ohio with my wife, 3 kids and a dog. My kids are active in all kinds of activities. I enjoy coaching various sports (Soccer, Basketball, Baseball and Fastpitch). I get real pleasure out of seeing kids reach potential, by getting their first hit on a baseball field or scoring their first basket in a basketball game.

I'm a continuous learner. I have a Bachelor's degree from DeVry University in Computer Information Systems, a Masters certificate from the University of Dayton, and recent graduate from Franklin University with a Masters degree in Data Analytics. I love learning about new and emerging technologies, and understanding how they can fit into products to make our customers' lives better.

Hi, my name is Cory Frey. I am a Software Engineer and have been a part of Tinnacity for 5 years. Before joining Tinnacity, I graduated from Tiffin University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and worked in IT recruiting and customer support roles.

During my first 2 years with Tinnacity, I served in a customer support/training role. I began taking online courses to learn how to code and slowly began working on company projects before being promoted to a software engineer. I have been serving as a software developer for 3+ years.

My wife (Julia), daughters (Layla & Stella), 2 cats (Pepe and Ernie), and I live in Marysville, Ohio which is located a 20 minutes northwest of Columbus. I love playing golf, watching sports, and having a cigar and glass of whiskey.

I live in Hilliard, Ohio with my wife (who I met at ODU) and together we have a Golden Retriever named Mater. When I’m not working, I enjoy golfing, boating, watching NASCAR, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes!

I studied to be a teacher because I enjoyed explaining material to students and watching the “lightbulb go off” when they began to understand. Whether I am showing a demo or leading a training, I get satisfaction and take pride in introducing Tinnacity’s solution to a new group of people and watching their "lightbulb go off"!

My name is Christian. I was born and raised in Northwest Ohio. (GO BUCKEYES!) I worked as a manager in the retail industry for 9 years. I then switched industries and for 10 years I worked on the railroads as a Field Manager and then as a Superintendent. Within those 10 years I lived and worked in 7 states-Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, Texas, Indiana and Georgia where I got to see amazing parts of the country and meet all sorts of people.

While working in the rail industry, I developed a passion for teaching, guiding and helping others. I found personal and professional fulfillment when I would see folks catch on and utilize the training I provided. It’s a passion that has brought me to the Tinnacity Team as a Customer Experience Manager.

Hi, I'm Brett, partner and CTO (Chief Technology Officer) at Tinnacity. Since graduating from The Ohio State University in Computer & Information Science, I've worked developing software and technology solutions in the material handling and service industries.

My wife, 2 boys, and I live near Jacksonville, Florida where we love spending time outside at the beach and waterparks with our family and friends. We are avid travelers, having visited and lived overseas many times (our youngest son was born in New Zealand). My wife and I have also visited over 50 bourbon and whiskey distilleries in multiple countries.

With Tinnacity, my passion is to help solve customers' problems through innovative solutions and rapid development. Learning, iterating, and evolving are a large part of who I am and they flow through to Tinnacity's products and services.

Hi there, I'm Joe Hewis. I guess I'm the old guy of this awesome crew. I've been selling technology and software solutions to equipment dealers for over 20 years now. Prior to coming to Tinnacity, I worked on the ERP side of the business but naturally gravitated to the Service Operations side of the dealer business model. This journey has taught me a lot and has given me the opportunity to work with numerous dealers and manufacturers within the Equipment sales, service and rental market.

I guess the reason I love my role so much is I truly enjoy helping people make their work life easier, increasing their profitability, and making operations more efficient. My work career has given me the opportunity to meet numerous people in the industry. I value each of those friendships and connections that I have established. I love what we offer and have a lot of fun working with the people I meet and have great respect for.

I was born and raised near Cleveland, OH where I live with my wife, Brigette in the suburb of Avon Lake, along the shore of Lake Erie. The winters can be brutal so we spend a lot of time in Southwest FL, in the small town of Bonita Springs. Outside of work, my wife and I like to play golf, boat, and travel. We are passionate about our Cleveland sports teams and the Ohio State Buckeyes. We are also passionate about dog rescue and adventure motorcycling. I'm a graduate of Kent State and am a proud American who loves movies and history.

Hello, my name is Tina Gelhaus and I am a Senior Customer Experience Manager at Tinnacity. Before joining Tinnacity I worked at Crown Equipment for 22 years, where I found my passion for training and onboarding customers. I value my role when I help turn first time guests into loyal customers.

I live in St. Henry, Ohio I have two daughters who are grown and enjoying life. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, doing DIY projects with my Cricut and making memorable videos for people’s special occasions. The first video I created was for my parents’ anniversary. I was in the eighth grade at the time, we did not have a computer back then. The only way I knew how was to tape individual pictures to the wall and using my dad’s big and bulky video camera I recorded each image for five seconds, pausing between each image to give it a ‘fade’ transition between the pictures. After recording hundreds of pictures, I had to figure out how to get music added to the slideshow. I had to ponder on that for a bit. I figured it out, using a cassette player and an RGA cable I connected the cassette player to the video camera and recorded songs to the slideshow. Needless to say, it took forever but my parents loved it….it turned out pretty good for a rookie. Looking back, I think that is when I started having a passion for technology.

Tyler Bailey

Hello! My name is Tyler Bailey. I joined Tinnacity in 2024 as a Software Engineer. Prior to that I spent 6 years as a Software Engineer at Nationwide Financial & a year at Crown Equipment as an Application Developer. I graduated from Ohio Northern University with a degree in Computer Science.

We’ve lived in Ohio our whole lives, but as of now my wife & I live in Columbus, Ohio with our son & two cats. I have a lot of hobbies I cycle through, depending on the season and whatever seems to have my interest at the moment. Reading, watching movies, hiking, geocaching, board games, video games, card games, film photography, you name it, I’ve probably tried it.

To me, one of the best parts of developing software is getting to see the impact the solution has on our users. Whether it be saving time, money, or organization, it brightens my day to know we’re helping folks run their businesses more efficiently.

Hi, my name is Brian Robison. I am an Account Manager for Tinnacity. Before joining Tinnacity, I graduated from Bowling Green State University and spent 3 years as a Senior Territory Account Manager for IGS Energy.

My Family and I live in Arcanum, Ohio. My wife Karina has blessed our family with three sons: Knox, Maddox and Theo. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I am also the Head Soccer Coach at Franklin Monroe High School.

With Tinnacity, my goal is to provide an excellent customer experience through building strong relationships, taking care of our current customers, and providing our solution to potential customers.
